For almost 20 years Brigid Collins has provided services for foster children. In September 2008, Brigid Collins worked with foster parents to develop a new model to improve support services available to foster children and their foster parents and relative caregivers in our community.
Foster Vision was established and has had an overwhelming response!
This program gives children who were abused and uprooted a sense of belonging and an opportunity to heal. It also provides foster parents with the support they need to continue the crucial and caring work they do every day.
Foster Vision services include: * Foster & Adoptive Parent Association * Information, support and case management * Foster Care Assessments * Fostering Together monthly trainings * Fun Fridays monthly program for children * Parent/Child supervised visitation * Resource information * Leadership opportunities for teens * Summer picnic and winter holiday party
